M2M helps skilled-trade businesses build the financial and operational infrastructure required to take on larger contracts and grow with confidence. Through two complementary MOSe services—Nuts & Bolts and Scaffolding Services—we work directly with business owners to design, implement, and stabilize the core systems that keep their companies running.
By completing both tracks, M2M entrepreneurs move from reactive operators to proactive business builders — fully in command of their operations, finances, and future growth.
Nuts and Bolts
Nuts and Bolts is a short-term, foundational engagement designed to help small contractors understand their numbers and how money moves through their business.
Participants leave with a certified understanding of an effective financial structure, putting them on a path toward accurate financial reporting.
Basic Eligibility Criteria
You are a small contractor
You own and operate a business in a construction or skilled-trade field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, general contracting, or specialty trades).Your business is currently operating
Your business is active and generating revenue, even if projects and cash flow are inconsistent.You want to understand your numbers
Participants can commit to at least 1 hour per week for 8 weeks and want to understand how to record and review how money moves through their business.
Scaffolding Services
Scaffolding Services is a time-limited apprenticeship style business operations program designed to help small and mid-size contractors strengthen financial oversight and operational stability.
During the engagement, M2M provides temporary, transitional support alongside structured training so participants can understand, oversee, and sustain effective financial and operational practices aligned with their business needs. The program is designed to build durable organizational capacity and concludes once participants are equipped to independently manage their ongoing operations.
