The M2M Operating System Essentials (MOSe) Program certifies participating businesses in two complementary tracks — Procurement Readiness and Company Resilience. Together, these tracks help skilled-trade entrepreneurs build and maintain the core components of their business operating system: the processes, tools, and habits that ensure every part of the company works in sync toward shared goals.
Procurement Readiness equips business leaders to manage their projects effectively, including what contracts they decide to pursue and how they fulfill their obligations — from estimating and compliance to reporting and performance tracking. Company Resilience trains business leaders and shows them how to strengthen the financial infrastructure behind sustainable growth, including how to understand their numbers behind each project, their company expenses, and how to build systems that can weather both opportunity and uncertainty.
By completing both tracks, M2M entrepreneurs move from reactive operators to proactive business builders — fully in command of their operations, finances, and future growth.
Procurement Readiness Track
M2M’s Procurement Readiness certifications were developed in collaboration with its Procurement Partners to identify and strengthen the capabilities that distinguish M2M skilled-trade businesses from their peers.
Through individualized training and technical assistance, M2M works closely with each business to understand its operations, goals, and challenges. This hands-on educational model allows M2M to teach entrepreneurs how to build and implement systems that improve efficiency, strengthen financial and operational controls, and position their companies to compete successfully for contracting opportunities.
Operations Ready
Businesses put into place foundational processes that prepare them to be reliable, efficient business partners to their corporate and institutional partners. This includes systems for bidding, estimating, invoicing, and collecting.
Businesses put into place processes that prepare them to be excellent business partners. This includes repeatable processes for consistent service delivery, budget and labor controls, and safety management.
Systems Ready
Business leaders are trained on how to create performance dashboards that track key indicators of effective and efficient contract management.
Launch Ready
Company Resilience Track
M2M’s Company Resilience certifications train skilled-trade entrepreneurs to meet the financial and operational standards expected by institutional capital providers—promoting sound business practices, reliable cash flow, and long-term stability.
Through hands-on education and capacity-building support, M2M teaches business owners how to strengthen internal systems, implement financial controls, and build the organizational infrastructure necessary for sustainable growth.
Business owners learn about how estimates, invoices, and job costing tie into business financial statements and we build the systems to faciliate that process.
Controls Verified
Business owners learn about managing their systems to maximize cash flow and revenue earned. We teach them about and build dashboards so they can track critical financial metrics.
Performance Verified
We work with business owners to create financial projections that align with their strategic goals. At this stage, we can also valuate the company so they understand the value of their asset.
Growth Verified
Meet the small skilled-trade businesses in our pilot cohort — each at a different stage in its growth journey.
